The curriculum for each subject area that we use have all been researched extensively, and has proven beneficial to the success of our students. Our curriculum is designed to allow our student’s to move successfully at their own pace, and at their own level of testing, not forced to move ahead until they have completely grasped each concept. We intentionally keep our learning environment small so that we have the opportunity to successfully work with each student individually.
At our school nobody fails, and everyone learns. Our setting is non traditional. There are no boring lectures with teaching standing at a board drilling information into students for rote memory. Our student’s have the opportunity to derive at their learning potential with our guidance, but with their own hands. Lasting, and meaningful learning takes place daily in our program, which promotes and builds self efficacy, and self esteem.
Upon entrance into our program, students are tested to determine their level in each subject area. Then a program is specifically designed for them using our researched based curriculum. Math, science, social studies, reading, writing, and language arts, are taught daily in our program. Other classes are offered as well such as spanish, computer applications with internet surfing, piano lessons, karate’, gymnastics, and conflict resolution, money management, and entrepreneurship.
